Boclair House – glamorous boutique hotel in Glasgow
Boclair House is an exclusive use hotel wedding venue located in Bearsden, north part of Glasgow. I photographed my first Boclair House wedding a few years ago, and I remembered I really liked this luxury hotel in the city. Although it is located next to a busy road, it doesn’t feel like a city wedding venue.
There are well maintained gardens with a bandstand, steps for family photos and sheltered areas for rainy days. The interior is lovely as well, with lots of old wedding pictures on the walls. The hotel offers 11 hotel rooms in addition to honeymoon suite for the newlyweds.
Wedding ceremonies at Boclair House take place either outdoors, on the bandstand, or inside the Grand Ballroom. The Grand Ballroom looks glamorous with mirrors and sparkling chandleries, unlike any hotel wedding venue I’ve seen before.
Boclair House wedding: Kerri & Gregor
Kerri & Gregor met at T in the Park and they love to travel! They were considering getting married in Italy, however decided on Boclair so all their family and friends could attend. Kerri was getting ready at her parents house in East Kilbride. All of beautiful bridesmaids are Kerri’s sisters and flower girls were both bride and groom nieces. Kerri’s dress from Madi Lane was romantic style bridal dress with floral lace, it was simply beautiful. Ceremony took place in Grand Ballroom in front of the arch decorated with flowers.
