Scotland wedding photographer
I am Anna, Scotland wedding photographer who loves to travel. Since 2012, I’ve photographed around 400 weddings and elopements across Edinburgh, the Highlands, and the UK – blending natural portraits with real, unscripted memories.
Born and raised in Łódź, a Polish city known for its vibrant film scene, I fell in love with photography as a teenager. After experiencing family loss early in life, photos became important, a way to hold onto memories. Volunteering at festivals like Camerimage in my hometown and the Edinburgh Fringe shaped my approach to photography; being surrounded by so much energy taught me how to capture real, unplanned moments as they happen. I photographed my first tiny wedding at the Lothian Chambers and since then I’ve focused on developing a documentary and relaxed style. I capture images both digitally and on 35mm film – I love the balance of speed and intention each format brings. Weddings are a reminder that time moves fast and my aim is to slow it down, even just for a moment, through images that feel honest and alive.
Outside of work, I love travelling with my daughter and exploring beaches in East Lothian with our xolo dog. Long road trips with no real plan and workaway stays – I’m all about slow travel that allows time to connect with the places we pass through. If you’re into wedding photography that feels natural and authentic, and would rather have your day documented than directed, I would love to hear your story.

INSPIRATION & APPROACH
natural light
light isn’t just about brightness – it shapes the mood, depth, and warmth of every image. As a Scotland wedding photographer, I’m used to all kinds of lighting – soft golden sunsets, dramatic overcast skies, and cosy candlelit receptions – and I embrace them all to bring out the best in every moment.
Human Connection
weddings are all about connection – the way people look at each other, hugs and unspoken moments. I’m drawn to the real stuff and focus on movement and interaction so your photos feel honest and full of life.
PERSONAL STORIES
no two weddings are the same, and that’s what I love most. Every couple brings their own story and their own way of celebrating the day. Whether it’s an intimate elopement in the mountains or a wild weekend with all your favourite people, I focus on what makes your wedding personal so the photos reflect your day, not just a checklist.

Got some questions?
01.
how do we book ?
Please send me an email first to check my availability and request a quote. May, June and September are typically my busiest months and book up early. If I am available, we can schedule a video call to get to know each other and discuss your wedding plans. Feel free to share all the details and expectations for wedding photography – what matters most to you.
02.
what cameras do you use?
I work with two Nikon digital cameras ( D780 & Zf ), paired with a selection of prime lenses and a 24-70mm zoom. I also incorporate film into my work when the light is just right – mostly for portraits, details and candid moments. My film kit includes Nikon F100, Olympus XA4 and fully manual Praktika MTL 50. If you’d like more analogue coverage, just let me know in your enquiry!
03.
do you offer engagement photo sessions and family shoots?
Yes, I do offer both, although weddings are my main focus, so my availability for other types of shoots is limited. Existing wedding clients get priority and can book pre-wedding sessions at a discounted rate. Engagement photoshoots usually take place in Edinburgh or anywhere within a two-hour drive – including beauty spots like Glencoe.
04.
what should we expect during a portrait session?
Posing for photos can feel a bit awkward for most couples, and that is totally normal. On a typical wedding day, I like to do two shorter portrait sessions – one during the drinks reception, and another one in the evening ( hopefully in that golden sunset light! ). My goal is to capture the genuine connection between you two. I do this through a mix of gentle guidance and simply observing you together. And if you’re someone who prefers a little more direction, I’ve got a set of go-to poses to help you feel natural in front of the camera.
05.
do you travel for destination weddings and elopements?
Absolutely – I love to travel, and photographing destination weddings or elopements is always a dream! I hold an EU passport, so I can work anywhere in Europe with ease. My dream destinations are Morocco, France and Italy. If you’re planning something adventurous, I’d be thrilled to hear all about it.
06.
how long will it take to receive our photos after the event?
You’ll receive a preview gallery within 24–48 hours after the wedding, so you can relive the magic right away. The full gallery is typically delivered within 4–7 weeks. If you’re on a tighter timeline, let me know at the time of booking – depending on my schedule, I may be able to deliver sooner.
