Ravensheugh Log Cabin

Ravensheugh Log Cabin wedding is perfect to host an intimate, outdoor, festival style wedding…or a post lockdown micro wedding.

The Log Cabin is a cute Canadian style log cabin with magnificent views over Bass Rock.  It also has an easy access to the beach, Ravensheugh Sands.  There is a little forest too and little camping area for wedding guests.  I know Ravensheugh Sands well from my wild camping days in Tyninghame. It is perfect place to have a small humanist wedding, but for bigger wedding there is enough space to include a tipi or a marquee. Hog roast and beer, ice-cream van too and campfire in the evening. This is my idea of a perfect wedding day.

East Lothian is known for it’s natural beauty. Whenever I visit Ravensheugh, I am always treated with beautiful weather and best light for natural wedding photos.

Michaela & Scott

Bride and groom had a beautiful vision of how they want their wedding day to look like. The couple hired a tipi tent so all friends and family could enjoy the meal inside. It was a good idea when later when it started raining. Ceremony took place in the woodland area, it was beautiful. The couple used their DIY skills to make decorations. Some of the wedding guests were camping in bell tents. There was lots of tequila and crazy dancing in the evening, and marshmallows toasted with champagne. It was a magical weekend for these two.
