A Beautiful Garden Wedding in the Scottish Borders

When it comes to intimate and heartfelt weddings, nothing quite compares to a ceremony held in your own garden. This recent Scottish Borders wedding was a perfect example of love, family, and the stunning natural beauty of the region. As a Scottish Borders wedding photographer, I had the pleasure of capturing every moment of this truly special day. Set against the backdrop of their beautiful garden, the couple exchanged vows in front of close family and friends. The couple’s garden was transformed into a dreamy wedding venue, with flowers and fairy lights adding a magical touch. The vows were exchanged under an arch, and once announced as husband and wife, the couple walked together with their two daughters. Abbie looked breathtaking in her Alena Leena bridal dress, a perfect choice for a romantic garden wedding. From candid laughter to emotional embraces, every detail was beautifully authentic—something I always aim to capture, whether on digital or 35mm film.

After the ceremony, everyone enjoyed a relaxed outdoor reception, complete with delicious local food from Field Fire Fork, heartfelt speeches, and plenty of dancing. The couple wanted their wedding to feel warm and personal, and they certainly achieved that. Seeing their daughters twirling in their dresses and guests laughing under the golden evening light was a reminder of what weddings are truly about—love, connection, and unforgettable memories. Every wedding is unique, and this Scottish Borders wedding was no exception. The combination of a stunning natural setting, a close-knit family, and heartfelt moments made it an absolute joy to photograph. Particularly special was seeing a few familiar faces—some of the guests were my previous brides dating back to 2016. I just love seeing my couples together and their families growing.
