Cambo Estate – beautiful venue on the East Coast
Last month I went to Fife to take photos for Antonia & Dale who had Cambo Estate wedding near St Andrews. It was my first visit to Cambo, let me say, it is now one of my favourite St Andrews wedding venues . Obviously the weather we had that day played a big role in my opinion about Cambo House weddings. I didn’t expect glorious sunshine on the day which was a real surprise to everyone – it was still March! But first let me say a few words about
Spaces at Cambo Estate
Cambo Estate is an impressive mansion with Cambo House, a lovely courtyard and impressive grounds as well as private access to the beach! Unique and quirky spaces make Cambo Estate a bit different from other venues. All weddings at Cambo I’ve been to, were relaxed outdoor family celebrations. This versatile venue provide many options for hosting a ceremony or wedding breakfast meal. Or you can hire a tipi or a marquee in the woodlands to make your Cambo wedding even more magical.
Cambo House
The house offers a few rooms which can host a wedding ceremony, reception and dancing. The Drawing Room offers stunning Victorian decor and can seat 110 guests for a meal. The Ballroom is great for dancing and has a direct staircase to the lawn.

The Courtyard
This rustic style sheltered courtyard with cobbled floor and covered with rugs is my favourite part of Cambo Estate. It can sit 120 guests for a meal and provides lovely dancing floor for Summer weddings. It includes cosy bar areas with sofas and fire pits.
The grounds
The grounds at Cambo consist of lawns, the walled garden and woodlands. The lawn in front of the house can host a wedding ceremony. The walled garden provides stunning backdrop for wedding photos as well as ceremony location that can sit 200 guests. The woodlands are a perfect space for tipi and marquee weddings, often chosen by couples with diy skills.
Cambo Estate Wedding
Antonia & Dale got married in March and traveled to Cambo Estate from London. The Bride chose unique Badgley Mischka dress with pink embroidered veil and D & G shoes. Later she changed her outfit to a sequin dress for dancing. Antonia’s bridesmaids were wearing different dresses – I really like this idea! Wedding ceremony took place in the walled garden in the front of a beautiful floral arch, provided by local florist, Blue Poppy Florist. After wedding vows all guests could enjoy drinks reception outside. The meal took place inside the house, lit with candles. And the evening dancing was held in The Ballroom.
