2022 wedding photos
As the year comes to a close, I am sharing my experiences as a wedding photographer in the last season. From intimate wedding ceremonies and elopements at the City Chambers, to big weddings and events at the best wedding venues in Edinburgh. It has been another special year and I am grateful for all experiences I had, from visiting amazing locations and unique venues to meeting all beautiful couples.
Wedding Venues Scotland
I worked at a few new venues this season, it is always exciting to explore new location. I photographed two weddings at The Harbour Chapel in Dunbar, a unique church conversion in East Lothian. Also in East Lothian, I visited Archerfield for the very first time – what a stunning venue with a waterfront marquee and private beach. Then, there is a Timberyard – industrial style restaurant in Edinburgh and The Old Dr Bell’s Baths – quirky events space in Leith. Lastly, I discovered Harelaw Estate – barn style wedding venue in Ayrshire. I will be going back to some of these venues next year and can’t wait to explore them further.
I was back at my favourite venues too. Colstoun House in the Spring for Louise & Fraser’s wedding – I love a polytunnel ceremony. Myres Castle in Perthshire for Ruth & Tom’s wedding, it was fun! Newhall Estate in Penicuik for Nish & Barry’s wedding that was already postponed 3 times. It looks beautiful in the Autumn. Crail Community Hall – I haven’t been there for a while. Gladly enjoyed being back as village hall weddings are so lovely and relaxed. Cambo Estate for Izzy & Callum’s wedding, another favourite venue of mine. And city wedding venues -newly refurbished Caledonian Hall at the Botanic Gardens wedding in Edinburgh, and Restoration Yard in Dalkeith Park. Lastly – Boclair House which is my top venue in Glasgow.
There is my 2022 best wedding photos in pictures and looking forward to whatever 2023 brings! ( short version above and more detailed one below! ).
