Where to get married
As a photographer I find myself very lucky to be able to travel around Scotland and discover all these amazing locations. Last September I had a pleasure to document a wedding that took place at the Borthwick Castle. Alexandra and Ruairidh chose it for their wedding venue soon after their engagement. The couple didn’t want to wait long. They knew how to plan a wedding in a short time and decided to pick a venue first. They went to Borthwick Castle for a tour last winter – and that was the moment when they decided it’s a perfect place.
Wedding day
When I arrived at the venue I could see many familiar faces among guests. A few years ago I photographed weddings of Alexandra’s friends – Victoria’s Autumn wedding at the Royal Botanic Gardens and Emily’s intimate wedding at Lothian Chambers. Alexandra looked very stylish in Jenny Packham dress, simple long veil and Jimmy Choo heels. The humanist ceremony included handfasting and was very relaxed . The reception was joyful, everyone had a fantastic time and I believe you can see that on the wedding photos! This is what I love about my work – documenting happiness and love. I am grateful I could be a part of such an amazing day.
