Scottish Borders family farm wedding

A few summer photos from my latest visit to the Scottish Borders. I always enjoy visiting this part of Scotland and farm weddings are my favourite. You may remember Rosalyn & David’s marquee wedding in St Boswell’s .  I have been hired as a Scottish Borders wedding photographer many times since then and can say that you can always expect a good party at a farm wedding.

This was another lovely summer day with some rain but nevermind. I enjoy rain on a wedding day as long as it doesn’t last long. After all, dramatic skies are perfect for wedding photography backdrops! In this case, the worst rain was during the ceremony so it didn’t spoil wedding photos.

Anna & Alasdair said their vows in Morebattle Church and wedding reception took place at Anna’s family farm. Anna was wearing her Mum’s veil and classic timeless wedding dress from Sassi Holford. Bridal party included Anna’s three sisters and her talented sister Lucy made beautiful jewellery worn by the bridal party and the bride. It was first time in a long time guests were allowed to dance so everyone took this opportunity and the dancefloor was full. I still can’t believe weddings are back to normal.
