Secret Herb Garden Wedding Photography

Rustic vibes near Edinburgh

Couples searching for garden wedding venues in Scotland and rustic vibes, often fall for charming Secret Herb Garden wedding venue at the foot of Pentland Hills. The setting feels intimate and close to nature without losing the excitement of a special celebration. It is a peaceful hideaway surrounded by herbs, wild flowers and soft countryside. A Secret Herb Garden wedding always feels relaxed and full of character. I have visited the venue twice – on both occasions in September, and couples could enjoy an outdoor wedding ceremony with drinks served in the garden.

Secret Herb Garden – a unique wedding venue with personality

If you want a rustic feel wedding near Edinburgh, the Secret Herb Garden offers that with ease. The mix of vintage furniture and open space gives the day a relaxed atmosphere. Guests can wander through the garden paths, enjoy the fresh scents, and take in the views that stretch across the fields. Nothing feels overly styled, the details naturally blend into the landscape.

This place also suits couples who want a unique wedding venue that tells its own story. Every corner of the garden holds something interesting – old glass bottles, rows of herbs, and cosy seating areas. The whole venue feels warm and personal, which creates a lovely balance between garden charm and natural beauty. It’s the kind of setting that encourages everyone to slow down, enjoy the moment, and soak in the atmosphere of a day. As an Edinburgh wedding photographer, it’s one of my favourite places for a wedding in Scotland.

Project: Wedinburgh

Natie and Ben, two filmmakers from Wales, created a wedding day that reflected their own creativity and spirit. They called it Project Wedinburgh, and the name suited their fun, untraditional approach. Their day began on Regent Road, where they greeted guests stepping off a classic big red bus. Everyone gathered for drinks and soaked in the impressive view of Arthur’s Seat, a moment that set the tone for the celebration.

From there, the group travelled to the Secret Herb Garden for a heartwarming ceremony. It included a handfasting, a tradition that added emotion and meaning to their vows. After the ceremony, drinks flowed and guests enjoyed meeting the resident farm animals, including a few very cuddly alpacas. The day wrapped up with a relaxed meal in the glasshouse, where everyone settled in and enjoyed good food and good company and a setting that suited the couple and their story perfectly.
