Falside Mill wedding photos
It’s been a while since I photographed a wedding in St Andrews. There are already a few wedding venues in the area which I really like – Cambo Estate, The Cow Shed in Crail or The Rhynd. This year I had a chance to exlore new venues in Fife – Kinnetles Mansion, Kincaple Farm and Falside Mill, a newly converted farm wedding venue in Kingsbarns.
Simone & James have traveled from England for their October wedding in Scotland while bride’s family and many guests have travelled from abroad. The ceremony took place at St Salvators Chapel, a collegiate chapel which belongs to the University of St Andrews. As one can guess, bride & groom have met while studying in the town.
After the ceremony and family photos taken under the arches, we drove to West Sands for the bride & groom photos. I love visiting beaches at this time of the year, with the most beautiful autumnal light. The beach wasn’t too busy that day which always makes photographer’s job easier.
When we arrived at Falside, everyone was waiting with confetti. Drinks were served inside the venue followed by a meal. I really liked rustic table decorations provided by Vintage Gathering, with a green foliage backdrop for bride & groom. There were wedding games and ceilidh provided by The Dirty Martinins with pizza and Italian gelato served during the evening. Falside is a great space for events and I am looking forward to future weddings at this venue.
